"What a good morning! Peter, Ali and all the rest of the Istanbul10 have been released"

Campaign Newsletter Nr. 7

(26.10.2017) Dear friends of the Istanbul10,

what a good morning! Peter, Ali and all the rest of the Istanbul10 have been released. Late last night the court decided to end their pre-trial detention. Peter and Ali are allowed to leave the country today and to be united again with their dearest. The trial is supposed to be continued. The charges have not been dropped, they have not been declared innocent. But we are very relieved that they are all free and don’t have to stay in prison anymore.

Turkey: Campaign „Free the Istanbul10“

Call of Kurve Wustrow

(23.08.2017) We, friends and colleagues of Peter, have come together in a campaign group.

Our main goals are to contribute to the wellbeing, the release and dropping of charges against the Istanbul10. The means and actions of our campaign should be in-line with the values the Istanbul10 stand for, and thus focus on a nonviolent approach that builds bridges, dismantles enemy images and speaks truth to power.

We are only at the beginning of the campaign, but unfortunately we might need a long breath.

If you want to know more about the campaign you can sign up for the campaign newsletter here: Sign up for the campaign newsletter
